Vitamin E in China withhold buying despite depleting inventories

Over the past few weeks, prices moved lower.

Buyers kept inventories low in anticipation of soft prices as supplies of vitamin E were plentiful. Two major producers continued to withhold price releases during the period in review.

Price quotes of locally produced vitamin E reduced to the range of RMB92-95/kg.

Although demand is expected to strengthen as buyers accumulate stocks before Chinese New Year Holidays, vitamin E prices are unlikely to rise prominently while supplies are abundant.
