Improved demand fails to sustain China vitamin A prices

Prices were marginally lower over the past few weeks.

Despite stable demand for vitamin A, prices remained soft with supplies abundant.

Transacted prices of locally produced vitamin A softened to RMB111-114/kg while actual transacted prices were in the range of RMB110-113/kg. Prices of imported products edged down to the range of RMB112-116/kg

Buyers are likely to stockpile inventories in the coming period, before Chinese New Year's long holidays. However, with the availability of vitamin A ample, the upward potential of the market will be limited.
