Russia lifts restrictions on imports of Lithuania's swine products

 

 

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Rosselkhoznadzor lifted the temporary restrictions on import of live swine, taking into consideration that the last Classical Swine Fever case in Panevėžys county of the Republic of Lithuania was recorded a year ago.

 

Also, restrictions were lifted on pork and raw swine products into the Russian Federation from Panevėžys county of the Republic of Lithuania. This lift took effect December 21, 2010.

 

The restrictions were imposed in July 2009 due to the Classical Swine Fever outbreak in this region.
