India's Suguna Poultry expands due to designer eggs success

 

 

Suguna Poultry in India announced to expand its operations by putting up a large layer farm in Namakkal in Tamil Nadu and a feed mill in Bangalore due to the success of selling designer eggs.

 

The company will pour a total investment of INR300 million (US$7.6 million) to the feed mill, and gears to make it Asia's largest with a per hour capacity of 60 tonnes.

 

Suguna Poultry Farm is based in Coimbatore and has been successful in selling designer eggs.

 

Designer eggs are produced by feeding hens with customised food to harvest eggs with desired properties.

 

Suguna Active( with high levels of docosahexaenoic (DHA), Vitamin E and organic selenium) and Suguna Heart (enriched with Omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin E) and its two earlier brands Suguna Pro and Suguna Sakthi were the latest additions to the company's brand of designer eggs.
