Pakistan To Buy Wheat From Australia, Canada

 

The Trading Corporation of Pakistan has accepted offers from the Australian Wheat Board and Canadian Wheat Board for import of 0.4 million tons of wheat.

 

The corporation has accepted the Australian Wheat Board's 204 dollars 50 cent per ton offer for import of 250000 tons wheat, Chairman, TCP Masood Alam Rizvi said. The Canadian Wheat Board was also asked to provide 150000 tons wheat on the same price, he further said.

 

The first shipment of the wheat will reach to Karachi Port in mid of the February next. TCP has already imported 8.07 Lac tons wheat, while a ship with 50000 tons wheat cargo will anchor at Karachi Port today.
