Yurun opens two-million-head hog processing plant in Henan
Yurun Group's RMB300-million hog processing line went into operation in Qingfeng county, Henan. Designed to slaughter two million hogs and process 140,000 tonnes of pork products a year, the plant will generate annual sales of RMB1.96 billion and profits of RMB183 million.
It is also expected to drive the local hog and feed businesses, bringing in RMB1.56 billion in hog revenue and RMB600 million in feed sales annually.
COFCO's 300,000-tonne oilseed protein plant operational in Anhui
COFCO Limited recently put its 300,000-tonne oilseed protein processing base in Chaohu, Anhui province into operation.
The facility, which went into trial production this September after a construction period of more than one year, is expected to fetch RMB1.8 billion in annual output values when production is in full gear.
Hubei receives 288 breeder hogs from Denmark
Jintaiyang Agricultural Development Co Ltd has recently imported 288 Danish breeder hogs to be placed in its farm in Xinzhou District, Hubei's Wuhan city.
The company plans to grow the foreign stocks to 600-700 head by the end of next year, providing around 3,500-4,500 grandparent-stock sows each year. When full capacity is reached, the 83-mu farm will be able to yield 12,000 breeder hogs annually.
Jiangxi establishes south China's largest layer base
Jiangxi Sentai Agricultural Hi-Tech Development Co Ltd is set to build southern China's largest layer rearing base in Jiangxi's Fuzhou city, with an annual capacity of one million birds.
Upon completion, the 500-mu base, which will fully import its layer stocks and production processes from overseas, is able to produce over 200,000 commercial chickens and 20,000 tonnes of eggs per year.
Changde, Hunan-based hog feed plant starts work
A 180,000-tonne hog feed processing plant jointly invested by Liuyang He Feed Co Ltd and Sitong Farming Association, recently began construction in Changde city, Hunan. The RMB60-million facility, which officially broke ground on November 18, is expected to complete by August next yea.
China's largest calcium phosphate plant breaks ground in Yunnan
With a total investment of RMB1.7 billion, Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Group Co Ltd recently started building the country's largest feed-grade calcium phosphate production plant in Yunnan's Jinning county.
The construction is currently undertaken by China National Chemical Engineering No.16 Construction Company and is expected to finish by the end of next year.
