Corn Prices in China's Southern Consumption Regions Edged Higher Early This Week
An eFeedLink Exclusive Report
Backed by improved demand, corn prices registered marginal gains in most parts of China early this week. In the southern consumption regions, prices edged upward as feed millers increased procurement in preparation for production during the week-long Spring Festival holidays in mid-February. With a drop in new corn arrivals at northern and southern Chinese ports, prices in these areas strengthened early this week.
In the Yellow River / Huai River production regions, corn prices are showing signs of recovery. Meanwhile, prices in northeastern production regions were mostly stable amid active market transactions in recent days.
