Methionine Producer Announces Latest Price Quote for Methionine in China Market (December 30, 2003)

A major Asian methionine producer reportedly has issued its latest US-dollar denominated quotes in the China market. Its CIF US-dollar denominated price quote of DL-Methionine for L/C at sight offer is US$2.55/kg, before adding Customs duty, VAT, import handling and other distribution costs. The latest price quote is US$0.15/kg lower than the producer's previous price quote of US$2.7/kg.

 

Currently, the existing US-dollar denominated quote from another major methionine producer remains unchanged. However, the producer stipulated that its Renminbi benchmark selling prices in China should not be lower than RMB26/kg.
