New bird flu human infection in China curtails feed output, methionine sales
Prices of methionine dipped further during the week ending December 29.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine dropped to the range of RMB40-42/kg
As there were two cases of human infection of H5N6 bird flu in the southern region of the country, the threat of bird flu outbreak returned to haunt the poultry sector, prompting feed producers to stay cautious.
Methionine market will be under pressure as prudent buyers limit buying.
