Vietnam suspends factory for using expired additives
City health inspectors discovered that a factory in Ho Minh City has used expired additives in sausage production.
An inspection of the Sanpan factory in Binh Tan District uncovered four boxes of Phosphates Mix additive that were past their expiry date. In addition to the Phosphates Mix, Sanpan also used flavouring, without expiry date labels.
The inspection also found other products sold by Sanpan - eight of which had improper labelling and 10 from other companies that had been relabelled.
The city's Health Department has gathered further samples for testing.
