Pakistan's seafood exports drop sharply in July-November
Seafood exports during the first five months (Jul-Nov) of the 2009-10 financial year saw a negative growth of 11.95% compared to the same period last year.
Fish and fish preparations exports during July-November (2009-10) were recorded at US$81.34 million against exports of US$92.376 million recorded in July-November (2008-09), according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics.
Fish exports during November 2009 also declined by 10.66% as compared to exports of October 2009. Fish exports during November were recorded at US$22.18 million against exports of US$24.826 million recorded during October 2009.
Fish exports during November also grew 3.19% from exports of US$21.5 million last year, according to FBS data.
