Russia to fully lift ban on Hungarian poultry
From Jan 1, Russia will fully lift a ban on Hungarian poultry imports, introduced after a bird flu outbreak in Hungary in early 2006, Deputy State Secretary at the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture Fulop Benedek told state news agency MTI Thursday (Dec 28).
Russia partially lifted the ban on Hungarian poultry in October, allowing imports from counties unaffected by the outbreak.
Hungarian agricultural exports to Russia are projected to reach US$300 million this year, up from US$260 million last year.
