China inspects all imported and exported fishmeal for malachite green

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has announced that inspections will be conducted on all batches of imported and exported fishmeal for malachite green residues over a three-month period. Only batches that pass the inspections will be certified free of the residues.

After the three-month inspection period, imported and exported fishmeal of the same types as those that were previously certified will then be subject to routine inspections.

Malachite green residues have not been discovered after the Fujian Aquaculture Feed Association inspected the second batches of the following products: locally produced Shandong Weihai fishmeal, New Zealand Huangguan fishmeal, Malaysia Shuangsha and Shuangtun fishmeal, Shandong fish oil, Peru fish oil and Chile fish oil.
