Market analysis

 

Piglet prices remain mostly flat on thin trade, as high labour and feed costs deterred buying interest, while rising festive demand for hogs prompted farms with farrowing units to keep piglets for own use.

 

 

Market forecast

 

Weak fundamentals in the piglet market will likely persist into year-end.
