Ukraine and Armenia signs grain supply agreement
In an intergovernmental agreement with Armenia, Ukraine will supply 0.3 million tonnes of grain to Armenia, according to Robert Brovdi, director of the supplier company, Khlib Investbud.
The intergovernmental agreement was signed with Armenia for 300,000 tonnes of corn and wheat, he said.
In general, he said that the existing signed and accepted intergovernmental agreements combined volume of grain crops add up to about one million tonnes.
Brovdi has specified that food wheat and fodder corn will be delivered.
Agreements with several CIS countries, Libya, Syria and the United Arab Emirates are at the stage of negotiations and preparation for signing, Brovdi noted.
According to the Ukrainian media, Ukraine has exported 5.9 million tonnes of grain crops since the 2010/11 marketing year, starting from July 2010 to August 2011.
