China plans to sell 500,000 tonnes corn from state reserves
China will sell 500,000 metric tonnes of corn from state reserves Wednesday to stabilize market prices, the National Grain & Oil Trade Center said on late Thursday (December 27, 2007).
This is the fourth batch of corn that China plans to sell after selling a total 426,000 tonnes from the first three batches, or 28 percent of the 1.5 million tonnes it planned to sell.
Late last month, the center said the country will sell at least 2 million tonnes of corn to stabilize domestic feedmeal prices.
