Australia's holiday pork sales higher
Pork consumption in Australia was up this Christmas, with sales of hams reaching record levels.
Australians ate on average two kilogrammes of the meat per person this season, giving beef and lamb tough competition, reported the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
The final months of this year were also apparently the first time that pork consumption has broken through the 23 kilos per capita ceiling, said an Australian analyst.
