Konotopmiaso (Sumy region) and Svizhenka LLC (Chernivtsi region) are now free to export their products to Russia as the Russian Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) has cancelled restrictions on imports of products of from the said meat producers.

The regulator said that the decision took effect from December 25, 2013.

In October 2013, Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on supply of production of Konotopmiaso due to the excessive content of the total aerobic mesophilic count in a batch of cooled beef. The restriction on imports of products of Svizhenka LLC was in effect since 2011.

Konotopmiaso produces meat and sausage products, while Svizhenka LLC produces and sells beef, pork and poultry.
