Russia's economy expansion forecast down to 3.2%
 

 

The expansion forecast for the Russian economy this year was lowered by the Russian Economy Ministry from 3.6% to 3.2%.

 

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev attributed the slowdown to this year's crop failure and stagnant international energy prices. He said his government will continue to fend off crisis trends by containing inflation, controlling spending and encouraging debt moderation.
