EU to hold hearing on vaccine technology

The European Parliament will hold a hearing on animal health strategy and new vaccine technology at the start of 2008.

The hearing, to be held in Brussels on February 13 2007, will be hosted by MEP and Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), Avril Doyle.

It will be focused on the recently published EU Community Animal Health Strategy, the support of Science, Technology and Research.

The event will probe on the latest developments in vaccine technology as enabling tools to achieve the goals of the Community Animal Health Strategy, and the crucial role of technological developments to alleviate the negative impacts of infectious and endemic diseases.
