China's soybean imports down 8.1 percent on-year in November
China's soybean imports in November fell 8.1 percent on year to 2.35 million tonnes, the General Administration of Customs said Monday (Dec 25).
In the January-November period, soybean imports rose 7.7 percent to 25.85 million tonnes.
China is the world's biggest importer of soybean and gets most of its supplies from the US, Brazil and Argentina, the world's leading soybean producers.
In November, the country also imported 54,233 tonnes of soyoil, and 29,273 tonnes of wheat, down 74 percent and 67 percent on year, respectively.
Corn exports in November totalled 261,589 tonnes, down 44 percent on year.
Following are tables of import and export data on grains, oil seeds, edible oils and feed meal, as well as the leading importing and exporting countries from Jan 1 to Nov 30, according to China's General Administration of Customs.
