Russia to export 10 million tonnes of grain in 2005/06
Russia expects to export 10 million tonnes of grain in the current marketing year (Jul 1, 2005-Jun 30, 2006) compared with about eight million tonnes in the previous marketing year, agriculture minister Alexey Gordeyev told a press conference Thursday.
Gordeyev said Russia's grain exports since the current marketing year would reach seven million tonnes by Jan 1, 2006.
Russia harvested 78.1 million tonnes of grain in 2005, little changed from 2004.
