Poland reports new bird flu case
Poland detected a new outbreak of the deadly bird flu virus in northern Poland, the PAP news agency reported Saturday.
Tests conducted by the State Veterinary Institute confirmed the bird flu virus in dead chickens in Zuromin region, where bird flu cases have been reported earlier this month.
About 200,000 chickens from four farms will be slaughtered, the statement said. This is Poland's 8th bird flu outbreak in the month.
