Kazakhstan's 2010 agricultural output diminishes

Kazkahstan's agriculture sector decreased output by 22.7%, according to the Minister of agriculture, Akhylbek Kurishbaev.

The preliminary data from the oblasts stated that overall grain production in the country totalled 13.9 million tonnes with an average yield of 9 c/ha, down 4.9 c/ha in 2010 as compared to the previous year.

At the same time, from the beginning of 2010 to December 10, 2010, the country exported more than 8.2 million tonnes of grain.
