Ukrainian poultry output down in November

In November, the poultry population fell by 3.4% or 7.5 million heads, compared with October, to 212 million heads as of December 1, 2010, according to the State Statistics Service.

In private farms, the poultry population decreased by 7.7% or 8.637 million heads whereas in specialised farms, poultry population grew by 1.6% or 1.232 million heads.

In comparison with December 1, 2009, poultry population rose by 5.2% or 10.565 million heads.

In specialised farms, the poultry population rose by 9.2% or 9.142 million heads whereas in private farms, the poultry population increased by 1.4% or 1.423 million heads.

According to local news, the poultry population fell by 3% or 6.807 million heads in October as compared with September, to 219.311 million heads as of November 1, 2010.
