China's November soy imports up 47% on-month
China's soy imports in November rose 47% compared with October and 90% from a year earlier, to 5.48 million tonnes, the General Administration of Customs said Tuesday (Dec 21).
Customs said total imports from January to November increased 31% to 49.4 million tonnes, confirming preliminary data issued earlier this month.
China is the world's biggest importer of soy. It sources most of its supplies from the US, Brazil and Argentina, the world's leading soy producers.
