Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam will see operations of a new poultry market and abattoir that will handle 20,000 chickens a day.
The Ha Vi Wholesale Market is the largest poultry market in the country and has been developed by the Department of Agriculture and the meat trade sectors.
Covering two hectares of land, the new market will be three times the size of the existing market.
Meat inspectors and government veterinarians will stand by on duty, and the premises will boost modern technology and equipment.
Vietnamese prefer to shop at markets rather than buy from supermarkets.
