1.844 Million MT Of Soybeans Sold To China

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced on Friday private export sales totaling 1.844 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans for delivery to China.

Of that total, 1.152 million tons are for delivery in the 2003-04 marketing year and 692,000 tons are for delivery in 2004-05.

The soybean marketing year began Sept. 1.

U.S. exporters are required to report to the USDA sales of 100,000 tons or more of soybeans made in the same day to the same destination by 1500 ET (2000 GMT) the next business day, according to the USDA's Foreign Agriculture Service. Any export sales under 100,000 tons must be reported on a weekly basis.
