Nor-Feed recognised in Pays de la Lorie Innovation Awards

Nor-Feed had won the TRIA (Third Industrial and Agricultural Revolution) Favorite Prize during the Pays de la Loire 2015 Innovation Awards.

The awards ceremony, which brought together over 500 business leaders and policymakers of the region, was preceded by the Regional Innovation Day (JRI) during which winning companies presented their innovations.

Recognising Nor-Feed's innovative and virtuous approach, the jury identified the company's philosophy which complies with the Third Industrial and Agricultural Revolution. This factored in that:

Nor-Feed products are based on perennial plants and raw materials in unlimited quantities. The company raises value through scientific and industrial know-hows. For  example,  plant  extracts  used  by  Nor-Feed  are  mainly  byproducts  from the  fruit  juice  industry. Therefore, its production does not exploit farmlands.

Nor-Feed designs products that combine competitiveness with aspects of environment-friendliness and resource-saving. The company's additives generate a positive return on investment for farmers by improving animal feed efficiency, and reducing environmental impact.

Nor-Feed's range of products - based on saponin-containing plants (Norponin®) - allows a better use of ruminants' energies by assigning those to the production of milk and meat as well as reducing up to 15% of greenhouse gas emissions.

Nor-Spice AB®, an additive based on citrus extract, is included into broiler diets and adds value to low- energy food while improving the health of animals.
