Bright Food's 2011 revenue may surpass US$1.8 billion


Bright Food, China's second-largest food company, may see its 2011 dairy sales exceed RMB11.50 billion (US$1.81 billion), a senior official from the company said Monday (Dec 19).


Its only dairy subsidiary, Bright Dairy & Food Co, had already achieved sales revenues of more than RMB10 billion (US$1.58 billion) as of December 7 this year, in comparison to RMB8.99 billion (US$1.42 billion) of dairy sales in the whole of 2010.


Shanghai-listed Bright Dairy & Food saw RMB8.7 billion (US$1.37 billion) in sales revenues during the first three quarters of this year, up 27% on-year, with net profit attributable to shareholders up 21%.
