Germany's Meggle Eastern Europe buys Serbia's Mladost

German-based holding firm Meggle Eastern Europe has acquired Serbian dairy producer Mladost for an undisclosed sum, according to local news.

The agreement for the sale of the dairy producer was signed by Dragan Jankov and Milan Stanic on behalf of Mladost owner Silbo and by Meggle's Christian Sedlatsche, Ludwig Meltl and Marjan Vucak, local news reported Saturday (Dec 18).

Formerly state-owned Mladost was established in 1954. In 2004, it was bought by Silbo, a food trading company. The dairy has a daily capacity of 80,000 litres. It employs more than 110 people and is based in Kragujevac, in central Serbia.
