Sea Party to try biotechnology for better results

Taiwan's Sea Party Technology Co Ltd will operate its prawn, chicken and eggs, chlorella and aquaculture activities with the use of biotechnology.

The company is the first major investor to operate in the Tanjung Manis Halal Hub in central Sarawak.

Sea Party has committed about MYR2 billion (US$582 million) in investment through six wholly-owned subsidiaries, and it will be involved in the production of biotech feed meal, food processing, as well as tilapia, marine fish and Japanese eel farming.

Chlorella is a green single-cell algae with chemical structure and size similar to human red blood cells. It produces proteins, enzymes and energy in the cells, and stimulates the immune system and slows down the aging process.

Sea Party had acquired about 1,700 hectares for its operations.
