Japan intensifies QC on Vietnam seafood exports
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will set up a seafood assessing centre in the Vietnam's Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.
According to media reports, JICA's director of Northern Representative Office Nakajima Yukio said that the centre will serve Vietnamese companies wanting to assess their seafood before exporting to Japan.
Yuko said at a meeting with Can Tho City's leaders that JICA wants to survey seafood processing and assessing in Vietnam and the country's regulations on seafood quality.
Japan is now the second biggest importer of Vietnamese seafood following the EU bloc.
