Beef output in Russia takes a downward swing 

Russia produced 21,500 metric tonnes of beef in November, a fall of 11.2% compared to November 2008 and 11.2% less than in October this year.

The data was released by the federal statistics agency on Friday.

Pork production in November totalled 63,400 tonnes, 50.4% more than in November 2008 and 7.9% more than in October this year.

Poultry output in November was 212,000 tonnes, 19.5% more than in November 2008 and 2.3% less than in October this year.
