Japan's compound feed output increases in October

Total compound feed production in Japan rose 2% on-year in October to 2.193 million tonnes.

In September, total production of compound feed for animals declined 2.8% from a year earlier to 2.014 million tonnes, according to Ministry of Agriculture data on Friday (Dec 18).

Japan is the world's biggest importer of corn, the main ingredient of animal feed in Japan. The US is the main supplier of corn for feed use.
