Perten Instruments is introducing SimPlus, a newly-developed software for the DA 7200 NIR Analysis systems.

SimPlus was developed in cooperation with industry, and is used by numerous customers globally. Among the users are several major feed producers, such as Afgri Animal Feeds in South Africa to use in its management of six feed factories.

This software allows users to monitor and administrate multiple DA 7200 instruments (on site or remote installations) from one location, access data and results, update calibrations and to create reports. For feed manufacturers, SimPlus offers the added benefit of integration with formulation software packages which allows products to be formulated once received in bins as opposed to average or ingredient COAs.

Besides the exportation of NIR results to ingredient database, the updated formulations allow new products, new target values and new limits to be easily imported directly into SimPlus.
