Novus International opens first plant in Brazil
Novus International, Inc., has opened its first animal feed input plant in Brazil, located in Indaiatuba, is in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The animal health and nutrition firm has already eight manufacturing plants in the US, Mexico, Germany and China and providing manufacturing facilities that serve customers in more than 80 countries around the world.
Thad Simons, President and Chief Executive Officer said that the company "is proud to have operated sales offices and imported products to Brazil for over 16 years. This new manufacturing facility is a reflection of our continued commitment to growth in the Brazilian market." "A portion of our growth strategy is to expand with countries that have access to raw materials, a concern for safety and environmental care. Brazil meets all of these requirements," he said.
The 3450-square metre facility is equipped with cutting-edge machinery, made in Brazil or imported from the US and Germany. The technology allows for complete automation of the manufacturing processes.
The plant has a monthly production capacity of 300 tonnes of antioxidants, mineral supplements, methionine, and organic acids for health and nutrition solutions for the pork, beef, poultry, dairy and pet industries.
