Argentina's October wheat exports down 91 percent
Argentina exported 62,082 tonnes of wheat in October, down 91 percent from the 717,622 tonnes shipped during the same month a year earlier, the latest Agriculture Secretariat data show.
Brazil was by far the leading importer of Argentine wheat in October, purchasing 53,387 tonnes.
Argentina also exported 1,047,065 tonnes of corn in October, down 13 percent from the 1,204,909 tonnes shipped in October 2006, according to the Secretariat.
Spain and Chile were the leading buyers of Argentine corn in October, importing 242,850 and 208,735 tonnes, respectively.
