China Live Hog Weekly: Firm demand, tight supply lift prices (week ended Dec 19, 2012)
Severe disease situation in the north held China's hog supplies tight. Meanwhile, a colder winter this year lifted pork consumption, while cured meat production increased further. Both factors worked to push up hog prices climbed further over the week.
