Software called Innova was introduced by Marel to support its GEBA SC 125 V dynamic packing line to monitor all key positions in the line, and enables you to control processing from your desk.
 
The standard slicing and packing lines for salmon retail packing have long been a highly successful solution for Marel customers. These slicers have undergone constant development and improvement to meet increasing demands for better quality, yield and capacity. Using the Marel Vision scanning system, the GEBA SC 125 V slicer, for example, is capable of cutting each and every fillet the smartest way to ensure full utilisation of the raw material.

Since introducing the Innova Production Monitoring software option, this dynamic packing line has become a whole lot smarter and more efficient, and has generated great interest from customers, who see the many benefits the software provides. All data on fillets, pieces, weight, trim, etc. are registered and used for creating reports or for traceability by logging historical data. Production line weaknesses and strengths can now be easily identified and fixed, resulting in an optimised processing line.
