US meat organisations call for China to abandon pathogen policy
US meat industry organisations have called on China to cancel plans for a zero tolerance policy for pathogens in cooked meat and poultry.
A group including the North American Meat Association (NAMA), American Meat Institute (AMI), National Chicken Council (NCC) and National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), submitted comments in response to a recent notification made by China to the World Trade Organisation.
