Ganzhou sets up new record system for slaughterhouses

In order to guarantee the quality of pork in villages and towns, Ganzhou City in Jiangxi province has released a plan for fixed slaughterhouses in the locality.

The local government said sources of live pigs must be registered and fixed in villages and towns. Pork has to be covered during transportation in accordance with sanitary requirements so that the quality of the meat quality is guaranteed to avoid risk of contamination.

The slaughterhouse centres and the slaughtered pork will mainly serve local consumers, and pork is not allowed to be sold to other villages or towns. A sales record system should be set up for meat products to record the flow of products.
