Australian cattle exports record low in October
 

Australia's live cattle exports totalled only 20,776 head in October, the lowest in over a decade and down 60 percent from 51,000 head in October 2004, Meat & Livestock Australia Limited said.

Total cattle export value during October was A$15 million FOB, at an average of A$741/head FOB.

From January to October, cattle exports totalled 479,236 head worth A$330 million FOB, down 11 percent and 15 percent respectively on-year.

In particular, cattle exports to Indonesia, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia in October totalled 7,254 head, 4,900 head and 3,000 head respectively.
