Improved demand fails to sustain China vitamin A prices
Prices moved lower over the past few weeks.
Feed demand improved lately as livestock inventories expanded. However, the rise was slow while livestock producers remained cautious.
Hence, vitamin A prices continued to fall amid slack demand and excess supplies.
Transacted prices of locally produced vitamin A dipped to RMB111-114/kg while those of imported products were to the range of RMB113-115/kg
Excess supplies will hold vitamin A prices weak even though demand is expected to increase more robustly in the coming weeks as feed millers stockpile inventories.
