Kuwait lifts ban on fish import from Pakistan
Kuwait has lifted a ban imposed on the import of fish and its products from Pakistan.
Kuwait Trade Minister, Falah Al Hajiri said the ban has been lifted after recommendations of the committee of Trade Ministry on Food Safety.
Kuwait also lifted similar from India and Iran. However, the monitoring of fish products from all three countries would continue for some time.
The ban was imposed after the safety committee found that fish imported from Iran, India and Pakistan carried bacteria that cause cancer.
