Taiwan's Great Wall buys 60,000 tonnes of corn
Taiwan's Great Wall Enterprise Co bought 60,000 tonnes of US-origin corn from trading house Cargill in a buy tender concluded Friday, said a Taipei-based trader.
While 21,454 tonnes was bought at US$136.11/tonne, cost and freight, the remainder was bought at 142.73 cents a bushel over the CBOT's March contract.
Shipment will be either between Jan 17 and 31 from the US Gulf or between Feb 4 and 15 from the Pacific Northwest.
