Ukraine's top poultry producer to boost output

Ukraine's largest poultry producer, Mironovsky Khleboprodukt, is carrying out a modernisation programme at a cost of US$570 million to triple its poultry output to 350,000 tonnes a year by 2009, the group announced Friday.

Mironovsky Khleboprodukt accounts for nearly 50 percent of Ukraine's total poultry production.

In January-September the group increased its poultry output by 30 percent on the year to 100,000 tonnes.
