China's Zhanjiang maintains double-digit growth in aquaculture exports for nine consecutive years
Zhanjiang, Guangdong, has maintaineda double-digit growth and exceeding 100,000 tonnes of aquaculture exportsfor nine straight years.
According to the Guangdong Entry-ExitInspection and Quarantine Bureau, Zhanjiang has exported 118,000 tonnes of aquaculture products in the first 11 months this year. This amounted to US$930 million which is an 11.4% increase over the same period year-on-year, setting a new record high.
Zhanjiang currently houses a total of 18,840 hectares for aquaculture farming, 188 aquaculture farms and 33 aquaculture products processing enterprises under the National Aquaculture Exports Quality & Safety Demonstration Zone. It is the country's largest and most comprehensiveAquaculture Exports Quality & Safety Demonstration Zone.
