Australia's Cell Aquaculture to develop Barramundi farm in Las Vegas
Cell Aquaculture is to develop a barramundi farm at Las Vegas which, when operational, could produce more than 600 tonnes of fish annually.
The new farm will utilise equipment from a demonstration facility in Mississippi which was closed recently, according to the Herald Sun in Australia.
The company also has a facility producing 70 tonnes in Holland, which would be expanded to 400 tonnes a year.
The company holds 27 per cent of a joint venture with the Malaysian Government, which is almost ready to open a 100 tonnes per year farm, expandable to 900 tonnes.
