China to assist African nation to enhance pig supply
Chinese experts in the southern city of Nanping have agreed to assist KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa in expanding their pig supply, through technology.
South Africa is currently importing over 60 percent of its pork products.
Dahe Agricultural and Animal Husbandry centre in Fujian, which produces over 120,000 pigs per year and slaughters up to 90 000, have committed to a technical co-operation agreement with KZN for the transfer of skills.
